From age 3 until the day of my graduation I studied at the St. Patrick’s English School, in San Sebastian (Spain). After finishing my bachelor’s degree in social sciences, I decided to move to Madrid in order to start my college studies.
I am currently studying a double degree in Advertising and Public Relations + Corporate Communication, Protocol and Event Organization at the Antonio de Nebrija University. But at present, I am doing my junior year at Drake University,in the United States (IA).
Despite my short time studying professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to do great projects with amazing people!
One of my first projects was to create a sub-brand for my University in Spain, called Código Nebrija. This project is an annual event, held at the university, where professionals from the national scene are invited to hold talks and/or workshops about the theme in question. In addition to creating and organizing the first event edition, I also designed the official website.
During my time at Drake, I also had the great fortune of being able to participate in real projects with renowned organizations such as Above + Beyond Cancer, United Way of Central Iowa or Water Works Park.
I was also very lucky to win one advertising award from the American Advertising Federation at the American Advertising Awards, as well as a PR Fauch Award, that recognizes students for outstanding contributions to research for the senior capstone client. These have undoubtedly become unforgettable experiences.
This spring I just started my first professional internship working for RipRoar Events, a company from Des Moines that organizes major sporting events in around Iowa, such as DAM to DSM, The Des Moines Women’s Half Marathon, RipRoar Kids Triathlons Series, Turkey Trot, and Dog Jog.
My year abroad is not even over and so far I have only had incredible experiences and opportunities. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me!
